<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> SIGNS § 21-4 <br /> <br /> (b) Banners, pen?tants and streamers. A temporary <br /> sign or attention-getting device generally made of <br /> flexible materials, such as paper, cloth or plastic. <br /> National and state flags shall not be included in <br /> this definition. <br /> (c) Changeable copy sign. A sign which is designed <br /> to allow for periodic changes in copy or symbols, <br /> either by manual or electronic means. This <br /> definition shall include time and temperature <br /> signs. <br /> (d) Flashing sign. A sign which contains light which <br /> is not maintained in a stationary position or at a <br /> constant intensity or color. This definition shall <br /> not include changing copy of a time and <br /> temperature sign. <br /> (e) Freestanding sign. A sign which is independ- <br /> ently supported by a support structure in or upon <br /> the ground and is not affixed to any part of a building. This definition shall include ground <br /> signs. <br /> (f) Ground sign. A sign which is attached to or is an <br /> integral part of an independent architectual wall <br /> or feature which is attached directly to the <br /> ground. <br /> (g) Multiple-faced sign. A sign which contains <br /> information on two (2) or more separate faces or <br /> planes. <br /> (h) Portable sign. A sign which is constructed or i <br /> placed upon a chassis with wheels or skids in <br /> order to be movable from one location to another, <br /> such as may be mounted on an automobile or <br /> trailer. This definition shall not include perma- <br /> nent identification signs painted directly on <br /> vehicles which are principally used for transporta- <br /> tion. <br /> (i) Projecting sign.
