<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> § 21-5 AftDEN HILLS CODE <br /> <br /> (1) Special event signs and advertising devices; <br /> (2) Emergency temporary signs as described in sec- <br /> tion 21-7(e). (Ord. No. 216, § 3(A), 12-8-80) <br /> Sec. 21-6. Prohibited signs. <br /> <br /> The following signs and advertising devices shall be <br /> prohibited: <br /> (a) Any sign which obstructs the vision of drivers or <br /> pedestriana or detracts from the visibility of a <br /> traffic-control device; <br /> (b) Signs that resemble official markers or traffic-control <br /> signs, except for on-site directional signs; <br /> (c) Flashing, rotating or animated signs; <br /> (d) Projecting signs; <br /> (e) Signs painted on or attached to trees, rocks or other <br /> natural surfaces, or attached to public utility poles, <br /> bridges or similar public structures; <br /> (f) Signs created by the arrangement and/or forming of <br /> plants or other landscaping materials; <br /> (g) Signs consisting of banners, pennants, ribbons, <br /> streamers, strings of light bulbs, except as special <br /> event signs as allowed by council approval; <br /> (h) Portable signs, except as special event signs as <br /> allowed by council approval; and <br /> <br /> (i) Searchlights. General restrictions. <br /> <br /> (a) Public signs shall be permitted in all districts. <br /> (b) All signs as required by the Occupational Safety <br /> Hazards Act shall be permitted in all districts. <br /> (c) No signs other than public signs shall be erected or I <br /> temporarily placed within any street rights-of-way or upon <br /> any public lands or easements or rights-of-way. <br /> 3upp. No. 3 <br /> 1224 ' <br />
