<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> SUBDIVISIONS § 22-8 <br /> (7) Street jogs. Street jogs with centerline offaets of less <br /> than one hundred twenty-five (125) feet shall be <br /> avoided. <br /> (8) Safe intersections. It must be evidenced that all street <br /> intersections encourage safe and efficient traffic flow. <br /> The angle formed by the intersecting of streets shall <br /> not be less than sixty (60) degrees with ninety (90) <br /> degrees preferred. <br /> (9) Alleys. Alleys will not be permitted in residential <br /> areas unless there is no other reasonable solution for <br /> access. <br /> (10) Cul-de-sac. Maximum length for cul-de-sac streets <br /> shall be five hundred (500) feet measured along the <br /> center line from the intersection of origin to end of <br /> right-of-way, unless there are eighteen (18) or less lots <br /> abutting the cul-de-sac. Each cul-de-sac shall be <br /> provided at the closed end with a turnaround having <br /> an outside roadway diameter of at least one hundred <br /> (100) feet, and a street property line diameter of at <br /> least one hundred twenty (120) feet. <br /> (11) Streets abutting Arterial Streets. Where a subdivision <br /> abuts or contains an existing or planned arterial <br /> street, the city council may require local streeta <br /> parallel and adjacent to the arterial street or other <br /> such treatment as may be necessary for adequate <br /> protection of residential properties and to afford <br /> separation of through and local traffic. <br /> (12) Half streeta. Half streets shall be prohibited, except <br /> where essential to the reasonable development of the <br /> subdivision in conformity with the other requirements <br /> of these regulations; and then only when the city <br /> council finds it will be practicable to require the <br /> dedication of the other half when the adjoining <br /> property ia subdivided. Wherever there is an egisting <br /> half street adjacent to a tract which is to be <br /> subdivided, the other half of the atreet ahall be platted <br /> within such proposed tract. <br /> 1289 <br /> <br /> <br /> ~ <br />
