<br />ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL - June 30, 2008 <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br />Councilmember Holden asked what types of prizes the Ramsey County Sheriff s <br />Department was giving out and if the City would be providing any prizes. <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Simon stated that there would be passes for the <br />amusement park at the Mall of America available but at this time the City had not <br />determined what they would be doing for residents. <br /> <br />Mayor Harpstead stated that the Council would start with signing the <br />proclamation and then ask Staff to bring ideas back to the Council for review. He <br />also stated that former Councilmember Lois Rem was present with a request for <br />National Night Out. <br /> <br />Ms. Lois Rem, 1670 Glenview Court, and a volunteer at the local food shelf, <br />requested that the Council incorporate the collection of food donations as part of <br />National Night Out. <br /> <br />Mayor Harpstead stated that he liked this idea and felt that the City could find a <br />way to incorporate this into National Night Out. <br /> <br />Ms. Rem went over the process that the City of New Brighton has used in the past. <br /> <br />Mayor Harpstead thanked Ms. Rem for her presentation and the information. He <br />then reviewed the proclamation for the Council. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holden asked if it would be possible for the City to provide the <br />pickup and delivery of the food donations because it can be difficult for the <br />neighborhood captains to do this. <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Simon stated that he would bring additional <br />information and ideas to the Council for review. <br /> <br />D. TCAAP Update <br /> <br />City Administrator Moorse stated that on June 23, 2008 the Council had a special <br />work session to review the schedule of key topics to be addressed regarding <br />TCAAP in the coming months. He also stated that on June 26, 2008 he had taken a <br />tour of the TCAAP property. <br /> <br />Mayor Harpstead stated the Ramsey County trail is open at County Road I and <br />you could see parts of the TCAAP property from there. <br /> <br />Mayor Harpstead opened the public inquiries/informational at 7: 15 p.m. <br />
