<br />ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL - June 30, 2008 <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br />Public <br /> <br />Ms. Chris Lustig, 190 1 Todd Drive, urged the Council to vote no on the concept <br />plan that was being presented stating that it was a step backwards. She also stated <br />that voting in favor of the plan would be going against what the Council had <br />previously stated they wanted. <br /> <br />Ms. Kristy Effinger, 1969 Banyan Street, Arden Manor Residents Association, <br />commended the Council on the progress they had made so far but asked that the <br />Council vote no on the current Concept Plan. She also stated that Representative <br />Knuth and Senator Chaudhary would be willing to facilitate a meeting to assist in <br />resolving the issues the project presents. <br /> <br />Ms. Eva Storm, 4572 Prior Court, asked that the Council vote no on the Concept <br />Plan being presented. <br /> <br />Mr. Duane Sheaser, 1926 Todd Drive, presented a list of residents in Arden Manor <br />to the Council to show them the types of people that lived in this community. He <br />also explained that these people would not be able to afford to have their homes <br />taken away. <br /> <br />Ms. Beverly Togel, 4714 Prior Avenue N, explained that she was concerned that <br />she may lose her home and explained that if this happened then she would like to <br />move to the TCAAP property. She asked the Council to vote no on the Concept <br />Plan being presented. <br /> <br />Ms. Cheryl Fish, 2059 Todd Drive, stated that she appreciated the Council because <br />they did provide the residents opportunities for input. She presented the Council <br />with pictures of some of the green spaces in Arden Manor. She also stated that if <br />this concept was the best the Council could provide then they should vote in favor <br />but if they felt that more could be done to save more homes then they should vote <br />no. <br /> <br />Mr. Don Meyers, 4642 Prior Circle, stated that he would be one of the residents <br />losing his home and that he does not want to move. He also stated that he <br />understands that property can not stop progress. <br /> <br />Mr. Chuck Mertensoto, 3473 Lake Johanna Blvd., stated that there has not been <br />any public notice on record regarding affordable housing for those people that are <br />being displaced. He urged the Council to vote no until these types of issues can be <br />resolved. <br />
