<br />ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL - June 30, 2008 <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br />Mr. David Boldt, 1555 Bri arknol I Circle, stated that noise abatement was an <br />important issue along with the signalized turn for TCAAP. He also stated that these <br />issues have not been resolved. He asked the Council to vote no on the Concept Plan <br />being presented. <br /> <br />Mr. Daniel Wilson, 1878 Todd Drive, thanked the Council for their hard work and <br />for working with the residents. He also asked the Council to use their voice to <br />speak for the residents in order to resolve their concerns. He asked the Council if <br />the Concept Plan was voted against if they would be willing to meet with <br />Representative Knuth and Senator Chaudhary. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holden stated that they had previously agreed to this but had not <br />heard anything further regarding a meeting. She also stated that the Council had <br />asked if they needed to do anything in order to arrange such a meeting and the <br />Council was told that they did not. <br /> <br />Mr. Bruce Krause, 4648 Prior Circle, asked if the railroad track was going to stay <br />or if this could be removed and the area turned over to the residents to provide <br />additional sites that could save a few homes. <br /> <br />Mr. Russ Adams, Director for Alliance for Metropolitan Stability, 2525 E. <br />Franklin Avenue, Minneapolis, thanked the Council for some of their efforts but <br />stated that the Council could do more to find additional solutions. He also stated <br />that the Council should wait to vote until they have gotten a reply from Ramsey <br />County regarding the City's position paper and the City should extract a binding <br />agreement with Mn/DOT before proceeding. He urged the Council to vote no on <br />the Concept Plan. <br /> <br />Mr. Chris Worms, 1522 Dawn Circle W., thanked the Council for their hard work <br />but he was still concerned about noise abatement. He stated that there has not been <br />enough attention paid to this issue and asked the Council to vote no on the Concept <br />Plan until there were definite answers to this issue. <br /> <br />Mr. John Van Buren, 4276 Colleen Circle, asked how noise abatement would be <br />addressed. He stated that he had purchased a decibel reader and had consistently <br />gotten readings that were in excess of the State and Federal guidelines for <br />acceptable noise levels. He asked that once a plan was approved the Council work <br />on obtaining effective sound abatement for the residents. <br /> <br />Ms. Joleen Poucher, 1548 Briarknoll Drive, referenced her e-mail to the City <br />Council regarding the noise and vibrations from the current road and that these <br />would be expected to increase with the new plans.
