ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL - June 30, 2008 6 addressing noise abatement and that the Council had made a commitment to addressing this issue. She asked how the Council planned to handle the noise and its impacts and urged the Council to vote no on the Concept Plan. Mr. George Grenander, 4173 Norma Avenue, stated that he was appalled that the City was not doing more to save homes in Arden Manor. He urged the Council to vote no on the Concept Plan and suggested that the City investigate roundabouts as a possible solution. Mr. Patrick Haik, 1550 Briarknoll Circle, congratulated Michelle Olson for receiving Employee of the Year award. He stated that the Concept Plan being presented had already been turned down twice and the residents do not want this plan. He asked that the Council vote no on approving this plan. Mr. Patrick McLafferty, President, Arden Manor Residents Associate, stated that he would like to see more compromise. He urged the Council to vote no on the Concept Plan and to take additional time in finding workable solutions for the residents. Mayor Harpstead closed the public inquiries/information at 8:25 p.m. 3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES A. June 9tt 2008tt City Council Ret!ular Meetint! Councilmember Holden stated that on page 1 the first paragraph under TCAAP Update, the word City's should be inserted before Environmental Attorney and the word Companies should be inserted after the word Ryan. MOTION: Councilmember Grant moved and Councilmember McClung seconded a motion to approve the June 9, 2008, City Council Regular Meeting Minutes as amended. The motion carried unanimously (5-0). 4.
