<br />ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL - August 11, 2008 <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br />while they are still staffing up, and all staff are still getting used to the operation. <br />He indicated that they will be open to looking at changes once they have some <br />experience with the center at full staff. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holden asked if there were standard reports that could be <br />provided monthly or quarterly with pertinent information for the City. She stated <br />that the City had requested this information. <br /> <br />City Administrator Moorse asked if Councilmember Holden was requesting <br />reports on the calls that happen in Arden Hills. <br /> <br />Mayor Harpstead asked if the dispatch center had any internal measurement <br />standards that they were utilizing. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Gregory Hoag stated that the reports that are generated <br />are for the County and they are not broken down by City. The reports that are <br />generated provide information such as call response time and processing time. He <br />stated that the information specific to the City would have to be manually extracted. <br />He stated that the center is operating within the criteria that they have established <br />and within the National criteria for call pending times and call dispatch times. <br /> <br />Councilmember McClung stated that when the City was sold this system the City <br />was told that call answer times would not be adversely affected by consolidating the <br />center and adding St. Paul. He stated that if specific reports were not able to be <br />obtained then the City would not be able to determine if call times were being <br />adversely affected. He asked Public Works Director Hoag to find out how they can <br />say if the response time in the contract cities were the same, better, or worse than <br />before the system was put in place. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Hoag stated that he would follow up with this question for <br />the Council. He stated that he had asked this question a couple of months ago and <br />he would forward the answers' to the Council. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holden stated that the information that was provided was how <br />long it took for the emergency people to arrive at the scene from the time the <br />information was provided from the dispatch center. She stated that the answering <br />time was not provided. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Hoag clarified that Councilmember Holden was looking <br />for the cue time on calls. <br />
