Staff did make a few changes <br />to the proposed amendment after the Planning Commission review and public hearing in order to <br />bring the regulations into conformance with the FCC regulations. <br />The City Council unanimously voted to approve Planning Case 09-012 for a variance request at <br />1126 Benton Way to construct a 585 square foot addition to the south side of the existing home. <br />The Planning Commission unanimously recommended approval of this item at their July 8, <br />2009, meeting. <br />TCAAP Update <br />The City Council has held a number of work sessions regarding TCAAP and also met with the <br />GSA and Army on July 15 to discuss the future of the property. The GSA continues to move <br />forward with the public auction process and intends to hold a bidder's conference in the fall of <br />this year. The bidder's conference is an opportunity for interested parties to gather information <br />on the property and access it in order to do testing and take soil samples. The GSA has indicated <br />that their intention is to move forward with auctioning the property in the late spring or early <br />summer of next year.
