The motion carried unanimously (4-0). <br /> <br />6. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />7. NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />A. Resolution 2009-016: Adoptin2 Deferred Assessment Roll for the <br />2009 Pavement Mana2ement Pro2ram <br /> <br />Civil Engineer Giga stated On May 11,2009, the City Council set June 8, 2009, as <br />the date to hold public hearings for the purpose of establishing special assessments <br />for the 2009 PMP Improvements. At the June 8, 2009 meeting, the City Council <br />adopted the assessment roll for the project, and provided direction to Staff regarding <br />the terms of the deferred assessment. The City Council directed Staff to set the <br />deferred assessment period at the maximum term allowable, 30 years, and to <br />forgive the interest on the assessment. The resolution has been prepared <br />accordingly. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holden stated that one of the Assessment Policy Committee <br />members had expressed dissatisfaction with the zero percent interest and they had <br />suggested that if the property is subdivided before the end of thirty years then the <br />interest should be incurred. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holmes stated that this could still be changed. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holden stated that she would not be willing to support that type <br />of change at this time. <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilmember Holden moved and Mayor Pro Tem McClung <br />seconded a motion to Approve Resolution 2009-016: Adopting the <br />Deferred Assessment Roll for the 2009 Pavement Management <br />Program. The motion carried unanimously (4-0). <br /> <br />B. Motion to Accept the Donation of $10..000 from Boston Scientific <br />for the Safe Routes to School Proiect <br /> <br />Parks and Recreation Manager Michelle Olson thanked Boston Scientific for <br />their generous donation to the Safe Routes to School Project.
