3.3 Watermain <br />Watermain along Valentine Avenue, Valentine Court, and Valentine Crest Road is <br />approximately 40 years old. The City's Public Works Department has repaired watermain <br />breaks at the intersection of ,Valentine Avenue and Valentine Court and up Valentine Court. <br />There are corrosive soils near Valentine Lake that are weakening the existing iron pipe and <br />causing breaks. The City has repaired lines in this area multiple times. <br />Watermain along Janet Court, Katie Lane, and Katie Court is 20 to 30 years old and has not <br />required repairs. The existing watermain types and sizes throughout the project area are as <br />follows: <br />Valentine Avenue <br />Valentine Court <br />Valentine Crest Road <br />Janet Court <br />Katie Lane <br />Katie Court <br />12-inch DIP (ductile iron pipe) <br />6-inch CIP (cast iron pipe) <br />6-inch CIP <br />6-inch DIP <br />6-inch DIP <br />6-inch DIP <br />The property at 4073 Valentine Court is on a private well. All other parcels are serviced with <br />municipal water. <br />3.4 Sanitary Sewer <br />Sanitary sewer along Valentine Avenue, Valentine Court, and Valentine Crest Road is 50 years <br />old and has root intrusion and areas of sagging pipe. Sanitary sewer along Janet Court, Katie <br />Lane, and Katie Court is 20 to 30 years old and is in fair condition based on televising tapes <br />reviewed by City staff. The existing sanitary sewer types and sizes throughout the project area <br />areas follows: <br />Valentine Avenue <br />Valentine Court <br />Valentine Crest Road <br />Janet Court <br />Katie Lane <br />Katie Court <br />8-inch VCP (clay pipe) <br />6-inch VCP <br />6-inch VCP <br />8-inch PVC (poly-vinyl/plastic) <br />8-inch PVC <br />8-inch PVC <br />All adjacent parcels are serviced by municipal sanitary sewer. <br />3.5 Private Utilities <br />There are various private utilities within the project area rights of way such as electric, gas, <br />phone, and cable.
