ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL—March 8, 2010 12 <br /> 6.A. Planning Case #09-021 Arden Village, LLC (Jamie Thelen) 1296 County Road F — <br /> Conditional Use Permit Amendment, Rezoning, and Comprehensive Plan Amendment, <br /> Preliminary and Final Plat, and Master and Final Planned Unit Development(continued) <br /> their lease as presented in their March 5, 2010, letterand this shall be subject <br /> to City Staff approval. The motion carried unanimously (5-0). <br /> MOTION: Mayor Harpstead moved and Councilmember Holmes seconded a motion to <br /> Add Recommendation 19 — Sand Companies shall construct a six (6) foot <br /> fence along the west side of the property to prevent access to Bethel <br /> University. The motion carried (4-1). <br /> Ayes: Mayor Harpstead, Councilmembers Holmes, Grant, Holden <br /> Nays: Councilmember McClung <br /> MOTION: Mayor Harpstead moved and Councilmember Holmes seconded a motion to <br /> add Recommendation 20 — The sound proofing measures proposed by Sand <br /> Companies in their letter dated March 5, 2010, to increase the STC rating on <br /> the windows and patio doors from 28 to 32 will be a condition of approval. <br /> The motion carried (4-1). <br /> Ayes: Mayor Harpstead, Councilmembers Holmes, Grant, Holden <br /> Nays: Councilmember McClung <br /> Councilmember Holden stated Boston Scientific and Land O'Lakes had problems with the <br /> notification process. She asked if this had been resolved. <br /> City Planner Beekman stated the problem had been that at the time of mailing the City did not <br /> have a contact person at Land O'Lakes and the notice was sent to the general office. <br /> Councilmember Grant asked if the building in Arden Hills would have stone on the building <br /> that was similar to the Maple Grove facility. <br /> Mr. Thelen stated stone could be added to the building but the exact location and amount has not <br /> been finalized at this time. He stated this could be brought back to the City for additional <br /> approval if needed. <br /> Councilmember Holden asked about the amount of vinyl siding that would be used because the <br /> applicant was asking for a variance on this design standard. <br /> City Planner Beekman the design standards only state that vinyl siding is an undesirable material <br /> and it does not specify the percentage that could be allowed. The applicant will be required to <br /> build as proposed and will not be able to add additional vinyl to the project once it is approved. <br /> Councilmember Grant asked what percentage of the building in Maple Grove was stone. <br /> Mr. Thelen stated he would get this information for the Council. <br />
