Adopt Resolution 2010-012, a Resolution Supporting State Senator Satveer Chaudhary in <br /> Authoring a Bill Requesting Decreases in the Speed Limits of the Sections of US Highway <br /> 10 and Trunk Highway 51 Within the City of Arden Hills to 50 m.p.h. and Adopt <br /> Resolution 2010-013, a Resolution Supporting State Representative Kate Knuth in <br /> Authoring a Bill Requesting Decreases in the Speed Limits of the Sections of US Highway <br /> 10 and Trunk Highway 51 Within the City of Arden Hills to 50 m.p.h. (continued) <br /> Decreases in the Speed Limits of the Sections of US Highway 10 and Trunk <br /> Highway 51 Within the City of Arden Hills to 50 m.p.h. <br /> Mayor Harpstead clarified this motion is not referencing the portion where it is co joined with I- <br /> 694. <br /> Councilmember Holmes stated she thought this request was suppose to be for Highway 10 only. <br /> Mayor Harpstead clarified that both sections were included. <br /> Councilmember Holmes stated she did not see any problems with T.H. 51 and this should not be <br /> included. <br /> Mayor Harpstead clarified that the speed on T.H. 51 drops to 50 m.p.h. in Roseville. <br /> Councilmember Grant stated the stretch of T.H. 51 in Arden Hills is the only stretch south of I- <br /> 694 that has a 55 m.p.h. speed limit. <br /> MOTION: Councilmember Holmes moved to remove T.H. 51 from the Resolutions. The <br /> motion failed due to lack of a second. <br /> The motion was called to a vote. <br /> The motion passed (4-1). <br /> Ayes: Mayor Harpstead, Councilmembers Grant, Holden, McClung <br /> Nays: Councilmember Holmes <br /> E. Adopt Resolution 2010-014, a Resolution Establishing a Personnel Committee <br /> for the City of Arden Hills <br /> Acting City Administrator Iverson stated at the February 16, 2010 City Council worksession, <br /> Council directed Staff to draft a resolution establishing a Personnel Committee. This committee <br /> would consist of two City Council members, the City Administrator, and another Staff member <br /> designated by the City Council. The committee would meet as needed and will look at Personnel <br /> Policies, revisit job descriptions, and deal with various personnel issues as needed. <br /> Councilmember Holden stated she would be willing to volunteer for this Committee <br />
