She stated that any business in <br /> this district is allowed to have up to 80 square feet of wall signage. <br /> Councilmember Holden clarified that Walgreen's would have one sign on the <br /> north side, four signs on the east side of the building, one on the south side and <br /> three signs on the west side. <br /> Councilmember Holmes stated that this was too much signage on the building. <br /> She asked if the "photo" and "pharmacy" signs needed to be on the building. <br /> City Planner Beekman stated that the multi-tenant signs would be located at each <br /> entrance. <br /> Councilmember Holmes asked if the Walgreen's monument sign would have the <br /> changing advertisements. <br /> City Planner Beekman stated that it would be a manual changeable sign. <br /> Councilmember Holmes stated that Walgreen's has too much signage included. <br /> Councilmember Holden stated concerns about the lighting since the hours of <br /> operation were not known for the Walgreen's at this time. <br /> City Planner Beekman stated that the lighting for the parking lots was regulated <br /> by current Zoning Code but there were no codes that would regulate the lights in the <br /> building. <br /> Councilmember Grant asked if there was a railing, fence, or barrier behind the <br /> monument sign and the Walgreen's sign. <br /> City Planner Beekman stated that this would be a retaining wall. <br /> Councilmember Grant stated that if the retaining wall is over four/five feet then a - <br /> barrier would be required. <br /> Mr. Keeley stated that there was a decorative metal rail included with the retaining <br /> wall. <br /> City Planner Beekman stated that the decorative railing was pictured on the page <br /> with all the pedestrian amenities in the Council packet. <br />
