ARDEN HILLS CITY COL7NCIL-July 13, 2009 22
City Planner Beekman stated that condition 10 on page 5 of the Council Report.
Mayor Harpstead stated that this condition does not have numbers in it.
City Planner Beekman stated that this was correct. The Planning Commission had
recommended that the signage be approved as presented so there was no need for a
condition that specified numbers.
Councilmember McClung clarified that the motion was for a new condition and
not an amendment to an existing condition.
The motion to add Condition 23 was called to a vote. The motion carried (4-1 —
Mayor Harpstead).
MOTION: Councilmember Holmes moved and Councilmember Grant
seconded a motion to add Condition 24 to completely remove all
obsolete signs or signs from vacant spaces and the underlying building
painted and cleaned for building five.
Mayor Harpstead asked if this would be a reasonable request.
City Planner Beekman stated that this could be tied to the PUD because this
would be part of the B2 Guiding Plan Guidelines.
Mr. Trooien clarified that this condition was referring to the removal of signs for -
those spaces that had been vacated.
The motion to add Condition 24 was called to a vote. The motion carried
unanimously (5-0).
Councilmember Holden asked if there was going to be planters in front of building
five.
Mr. Schroeder stated that new plantings had been put in place last year for
building five and there were no other updates planned at this time.
Councilmember Holden stated that she would like to see additional bike racks
added.
Mr. Wellington stated that there are bike racks on the side of Frattalone's but they
would be able to add additional racks.
