Additional Engineering Services (as-needed): <br />After the consultant has delivered all components described in above, the City of Arden Hills may <br />require the consultant to provide additional engineering services on an as-needed basis to assist <br />with the completion of the preliminary proj ect report. It is anticipated that the selected consultant <br />could assist with State Aid roadway design, storm water management, storm sewer design, <br />recommendations for meeting various agency permit requirements, and engineering cost <br />estimates. <br />The consultant shall provide the hourly rates for staff inembers who would potentially provide the <br />additional services described. The consultant will not be reimbursed for additional services that <br />are not previously authorized in writing by the City of Arden Hills. <br />Proiect Schedule <br />The following is the proposed schedule for the proj ect. <br />RFQ submittals due: <br />City Council to award contract to consultant: <br />Kick-off ineeting with City Staff: <br />Completion of Survey & Structural Analysis: <br />Provide hourly services as-needed: <br />City Staff presents report to City Council: <br />September 3, 2010 (by 11:30 AM) <br />September 13, 2010 <br />Week of September 20, 2010 <br />October 15, 2010 <br />October and November <br />November 29, 2010 <br />This schedule is approximate and subj ect to change. <br />PROPOSAL CONTENTS <br />The proposals should include a proj ect scope, proj ect understanding, schedule, proposed team, a cost <br />breakdown including hours budgeted to each task and hourly rates. If resumes of staff on the proposed <br />design team were not submitted with the Statement of Qualifications, June 2007, please provide with the <br />proposal. Please include sub-total hours and costs for each of the maj or tasks: Topographic Survey, <br />Mapping, and Culvert/Bridge Recommendation. The Consultant shall provide a not-to-exceed total cost <br />for the proposed proj ect services. <br />As mentioned, you may submit an RFQ to the City for one or both of the Schedules listed above. The <br />City will consider awarding the described work in Schedule 1 and Schedule 2 separately, to the most <br />qualified consultant or consultants. <br />Please provide your proposal by 11:30 AM, Friday, September 3, 2010. Proposals may be submitted via <br />e-mail. If a paper copy is submitted, please make double-sided copies, do not bind the proposal, and be <br />concise with your response.
