The City of Roseville's Engineering
Department will be assisting the City of Arden Hills' Public Works Department with the
feasibility report preparation. It is anticipated that City Staff will present the report to the City
Council at their October 11, 2010 meeting.
Councilmember Holden asked which roads would be reconstructed and which roads would have
only a mill and overlay.
Civil Engineer Giga stated the preparations for the feasibility report would help determine the
conditions of the roads and what type of work would be required. Staff will be obtaining soil
borings in these areas. The City is expecting a majority of this area to be mill and overlay and
reclaiming of the road surface. Amble Road may need to be reconstructed. Staff is also
anticipating water main improvements in the Arden View Court neighborhood.
Councilmember Grant stated the budget amount shows the total estimated cost of the project but
it does not show what the estimated cost is for the feasibility report. He asked what the estimated
cost would be for the feasibility report.
Civil Engineer Giga stated the 2010 budgeted amount is $50,000 but Roseville's Engineering
Department will be working with Arden Hills' Staff to prepare for the feasibility report and this
will lower the costs. She will determine the estimated amount for the feasibility report and get
this information back to the Council.
Councilmember Holden asked if there would be any sewer lining in the 2011 PMP Project.
