Ms. Kris Cuffman, 727 New Levy Lane, Chaska, stated her mother lives at 3122 <br />Shorewood Drive and she has not received notification regarding community meetings <br />for this project. She asked shat the impact of this project was, what the expense was to <br />the City, what is the proposal going to do to this community and these residents. She also <br />asked what would happen to the property values and if the watershed had been addressed. <br />She asked what is being done to protect Little Lake Johanna property. She stated <br />Presbyterian Homes will have underground parking but it is not clear where this will be <br />and where the entrance will be for this. She asked how the underground parking would <br />affect the water flow for Little Lake Johanna and Lake Johanna. She stated there are a <br />number of commercial properties available and asked why Presbyterian Homes was not <br />looking into these for this project. She asked what the impact of the zoning changes <br />would be to the neighboring properties and the property value. She asked if the roads <br />that were being used for the construction route would be repaired. This is the wrong <br />location for this project and this is a neighborhood that is being destroyed. <br />Mr. Dave Westlund, 3261 Sandeen Road, Arden Hills, stated he was opposed to a one <br />way street in this location. He stated there needs to be signs for children and crossings <br />and reduced speeds. He expressed concerns about the safety of the children in this <br />neighborhood. <br />Ms. Lisa Ambli, Presbyterian Homes, read a letter from Harvey McNair who is a resident <br />of Presbyterian Homes. He outlined the challenges that residents have and how the <br />construction of a new facility will make it easier to live at the facility <br />Ms. Sandy Lenarz, 9061 159 Lane NW, Ramsey, read a letter from Mariam Sullivan, <br />who is a resident of Presbyterian Homes. She expressed her excitement about having a <br />facility that met the needs of its residents and did not have the obstacles that the current <br />facility did. <br />Ms. Michelle Anderson, 1769 Shorewood Curve, Arden Hills, stated she had just <br />received notice about this project. She stated over the last couple of years there has been <br />significant traffic increases coming down Lydia and Weaver. This is mostly from the <br />expansion at Northwestern College. This project will increase issues in this area. She <br />stated she is concerned about the safety of children in this area because of the amount of <br />people speeding through the area. She also asked the City to review Condition 5 further <br />to ensure proper drainage and grading of this project. <br />Ms. Kim Klawiter, 3262 Sandeen Road, Arden Hills, stated Presbyterian Homes has <br />stated in the past that they would take care of the grounds and landscaping and this has <br />not happened. The landscaping along Sandeen Road is not well maintained. She stated <br />she is concerned that this will continue to be a problem <br />Ms. Nadine Bondhus, 3100 Shorewood Lane, Arden Hills, stated based on the proposed <br />alignment of the entrance to Presbyterian Homes and Wheeler would turn this area into a <br />
