City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />November 24, 2010 <br />Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member Paar <br />approving the declaration of covenants for the Clearwater Business Park Project. <br />All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br />6. Authorize Grant Application — Fluoride Equipment <br />City Finance Director indicated the last inspection by the Department of Health of the <br />water treatment indicated there needed to be upgrades to the fluoride equipment and this <br />is an application for a grant to assist in the costs of the upgrades. <br />Motion by Council Member Love, seconded by Council Member Paar authorizing <br />the grant application for the replacement of the Fluoride Equipment. All in favor. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />7. Authorize Grant Application — DNR Tree Diversification & Replacement Project <br />Mayor Capra indicated a Boy Scout obtained permission from the Parks & Recreation <br />Committee to do a tree diversification project for his Eagle Scout project. This is a grant <br />requests funding from Minnesota Department of Natural Resources with 100% funding to <br />plant 22 trees with 5 different varieties. <br />Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Broussard Vickers <br />authorizing the grant application for the DNR tree diversification and replacement <br />proiect. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br />City Equipment Disposal <br />City Administrator requested authority to dispose of the presented list of equipment. The <br />City would use "Craigslist" or other means to find buyers for the items. <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard Vickers seconded by Council Member Paar <br />approving disposal of City equipment. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br />IX. ANNOUNCEMENTS/UPDATES <br />City Administrator <br />City Administrator Larson stated a group of City, school and Anoka County officials <br />have been meeting to establish a collaborative effort to share equipment, services, etc. <br />He added this matter is still in the early stages but the hope is that local governments <br />could use sharing as a means to be more efficient. <br />City Administrator stated there has been discussion regarding utility fees. Council <br />feedback suggested that more discussion is needed and that a worksession should be <br />scheduled in December. <br />Page 5 of 7 <br />
