Planning and Zoning Commission <br />July 2, 2002 <br />Meeting Minutes <br />Motion by Commissioner DeVine, seconded by Commissioner Wilharber to close <br />the public hearing. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Chair Hanson closed the public hearing at 7:25 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Wilharber, seconded by Commissioner DeVine to <br />recommend to Council approval of the requested lot split. All in favor. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Chair Hanson indicated that the matter would be on Council’s agenda for the July 10, <br />2002 Council meeting. <br /> <br />The Commission recessed at 7:30 and reconvened at 7:38 p.m. <br /> <br />V. COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br /> <br />1. Proposed Ordinance #70 <br /> <br />Commissioner Helmbrecht indicated that she would like to edit the first paragraph <br />because it does not address businesses like Hair Update. <br /> <br />Commissioner DeVine agreed with Commissioner Helmbrecht and the Commission <br />decided to change the first paragraph to include that similar adult oriented businesses <br />would need to follow the requirements of the adult oriented business ordinance. They <br />also agreed to delete the second paragraph. <br /> <br />Commissioner Helmbrecht asked Staff to make sure that the adult ordinance covers the <br />wording that was removed from this ordinance. <br /> <br />The Commission asked Staff to provide the adult ordinance at its next meeting for <br />review. <br /> <br /> <br />Commissioner Helmbrecht asked if the Commission wanted to include a requirement of <br />no liquor license or leave it up to Council. <br /> <br />There was consent to leave it up to Council. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wilharber indicated there was nothing in the adult ordinance referring to <br />massage parlors and saunas. <br /> <br />Commissioner Helmbrecht questioned whether the wording on Page 8 should be <br />changed. <br /> <br />The Commission agreed to change the 10 day requirement to 30 day requirement. <br /> <br />Commissioner Helmbrecht suggested adding the owner to the terms on Page 11. <br />Page 5 of 7 <br />
