City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />July 13, 2011 <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member Paar, to <br />appoint Mr. Russ Koski to the Planning & Zoning Commission. All in favor. <br />Motion Passed Unanimously <br /> <br /> <br />1.Joint Powers Agreement Between the City of Lino Lakes, City of Centerville & <br />Anoka County – Park Facility (Extension of Sewer/Water Services Through the <br />City of Lino Lakes) <br /> <br />City Attorney Glaser briefly reviewed the agreement with Council and stated that he felt <br />the content was agreeable. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson stated that the extension of sewer and water services would <br />probably not happen until 2012 and would be completed in two phases. Council Member <br />King questioned inspections and fees for same. Administrator Larson explained that <br />these fees would be included in the permit fees. Administrator Larson stated that the <br />agreement also includes the shower/restroom areas which have been served by the city <br />for several years. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member <br />Paar, to approve the Joint Powers Agreement between the Cities of Lino Lakes, <br />Centerville and the County of Anoka as presented. All in favor. Motion Passed <br />Unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />2.2012 North Metro Telecommunications Commission Budget <br /> <br />Commission Liaison/Council Member King briefly reviewed the proposed 2012 Budget <br />with Council. Administrator Larson stated that the Cable Commission Budget is fully <br />funded by franchise fees and has no affect on the City’s budget. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member King, to approve <br />the proposed 2012 North Metro Telecommunications Commission Budget as <br />presented. All in favor. Motion Passed Unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />3.MnWARN Membership <br /> <br />Administrator Larson briefly reviewed the Minnesota Water Agency Response Network <br />(MnWARN) Mutual Aid Agreement with Council, stating that there are numerous <br />benefits to becoming a member of MnWARN which is a statewide program. The City <br />already has in place Mutual Aid Agreements with neighboring communities (Hugo and <br />Lino Lakes); however, if an event were to take place that would affect all three <br />communities, communities in outlying areas may be in a better position to assist <br />Centerville. <br /> <br />Council Member King felt that he was unable to vote favorably on this item due to lack <br />of information with the State shutdown. <br />Page 3 of 6 <br /> <br />
