12. Utilize video for security and investigations (interviews.) <br /> 13. Design rooms big enough to fit or seat your employees. Our conference room fits <br /> 8 -10, we cram in 13. <br /> 14. Design a small report taking room right off of the front door or window. (Elk River <br /> PD has one.) <br /> 15. Separate certain areas from each other. Administrative offices should be set apart by <br /> at least a hallway or divider from records, so guests are not brought through the heart of <br /> the work area. Data entry should be away from the front window to avoid interruption. <br /> Areas where prisoners will be, need to be secured from the remainder of the office. This <br /> eliminates parading a drunk or disorderly person through admin areas, or passing the <br /> secretaries desk. Areas such as locker and rest rooms need to be out of public eyeshot, <br /> with areas for both sexes. <br />
