* Upon signing the contract, the City will issue the money for
uniforms and safety shoes.
* The clarification on insurance is attached to this memo. The
benefit will be the same for all employees regardless if they
select insurance or not. The only stipulation is between
part -time and full -time. Full -time will be defined as anyone
working an average of 32 hours /week. The $300 flat fee for
family health coverage will only be allowed if the employee
actually accepts family health coverage, which would be
defined as covering a minimum of two persons in the employees
immediate family.
* Paul Palzer's previous contract with the City would be
maintained. Paul would receive the single health insurance flat
fee, just the same as all full -time employees. Unless Paul would
select family coverage, he would not be eligible for the family
health insurance flat rate fee.
I will be able to answer any questions at the meeting and will
have the response and hopefully signature by the union agent by
Wednesday. T anticipate that the increased pay rates,
retroactive pay, clothing allowance and stand -by pay would be
allocated at the second pay period in April.
