ANNOTATIONS
August 13, 1997
OLD BUSINESS
1. Informational hearing for 20th Avenue Interconnect - Dave
Nyberg will be present to discuss the preliminary assessments
for this project. All of the affected property owners have
been mailed a notice on this meeting. In your packet is the
preliminary assessments for each parcel. The public hearing
for this project should be scheduled for August 27th.
2. Refuse Contract - The refuse contract is back on the agenda
awaiting the vote of the Council. Included in your packet
are the bids from the various haulers. As mentioned at the
last meeting, I believe that all of the haulers would be able
to perform at a level that could be satisfactory for the City
of Centerville. There is not a substantial difference that
can be pointed out between the companies.
3. The ordinance is available
for review and comments.
NSW BUSINESS
1. Cable Commission - Included in your packet are the budgets
for the Cable Commission and the Community Media Center.
Also included is a chart from the Cable Commission showing
the impact of raising the PEG fees .25 cents per account.
The PEG fees are an additional charge to the cable bills of
subscribers who reside in the seven cities that make up the
cable commission. I would recommend approving the two
budgets and the PEG fee increase.
2. They have requested to be able to asphalt
their entire parking lot next spring due to the rains that we
have had so their parking lot can settle. I have talked to
Paul and Dave about this issue and they do not have a problem
with this idea. I will get Mr. Kozar to put this issue in
writing and attach it to the Special Use Permit for the
