Mr. March reiterated the housing required income limits and the City's ultimate responsibility if <br /> the tenant rental goals are not achieved. Mr. March recommended approving the JPA with Anoka <br /> County HRA contingent upon the City Attorney's approval. <br /> MOTION by Councilmember Brenner to approve the JPA between the City of Centerville and <br /> Anoka County BRA contingent upon City Attorney's approval. Motion seconded by <br /> Councilmember Powers. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Waterworks Beach Club Summer Jam 1997 <br /> Councilmember Powers reported Mr. Sorenson neglected to address some of the Council <br /> contingencies when granting the noise permit. Councilmember Powers reported there was no <br /> response from residents who received notification of the event. The Police Department and <br /> Reserves did an outstanding job. However, the following items were not addressed as directed by <br /> the Council: <br /> No additional trash containers were available. <br /> An ambulance was not available <br /> The D.J. used course language over the loud speakers <br /> No alternate plan was in place for severe weather conditions <br /> The bay area was not roped off <br /> No water was available to the customers <br /> No water hoses <br /> No first aid tent <br /> No VIP passes <br /> Councilmember Powers recommended to deny Waterworks Beach Club future noise permits <br /> based on the above stated reasons. Councilmember Brenner agreed, and thanked Councilmember <br /> Powers for her help. <br /> Waterworks benefit for Flood Relief - Ken Sorenson <br /> Mr. March explained earlier Mr. Sorenson requested to hold a flood relief benefit at Waterworks <br /> during the same weekend as the City Celebration. Mayor Wilharber commented the Police <br /> Department is limited and unable to man two events. <br /> MOTION by Councilmember Powers to deny Waterworks Beach Club noise permit request to <br /> have an outside jam similar to Summer Jam. Motion seconded by Councilmember Brenner. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Light Industrial District <br /> Mr. March gave a brief overview of the proposed Light Industrial District area. Mr. March <br /> recommended tabling discussion until the City Staff canvass the surrounding proprerty owners. <br /> 5 <br />
