City Council meeting minutes of May 8, 1996 <br /> LaMotte Memorial Park <br /> Councilmember Buckbee stated that TIF was conunitted for the purchase of the property <br /> but not for the development. <br /> Councilmember Brenner stated that Jim March has been involved and experienced in grant <br /> writing. <br /> MOTION by Wilharber, second by Brenner to table until Mr. March is on board for his <br /> review. Motion carried, Powers - Rasmussen absent at vote. <br /> TAXSYS System <br /> MOTION by Buckbee, second by Brenner to approve the TAXSYS System to purchase <br /> the Info - Connect and Reach Out Remote software needed to get the system installed. <br /> Motion carried, Powers- Rasmussen absent at vote. <br /> City Sign Contract <br /> Councilmember Brenner stated that the county has an 80 foot set back. The difference <br /> between a 1 or 2 sided sign is only $200.00. EDC will hold a fund- raiser for additional <br /> funds. <br /> MOTION by Brenner, second by Powers - Rasmussen to order the Centerville City Sign <br /> from Gulf Industries at $3200, balance to be paid in 3 monthly installments. Rest of the <br /> funding after EDC's fund- raiser to be from the miscellaneous fund to be paid back from <br /> the Newsletter ads. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Community Police Training <br /> MOTION by Brenner, second by Powers - Rasmussen to table until the next agenda to give <br /> the council time to review their schedule. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Election Conference <br /> MOTION by Buckbee, second by Powers - Rasmussen to approve Trudi Breuninger and <br /> Danell Westbrock to attend the 1996 Election Conference for Municipal Clerks on June <br /> 27, 1996 at St. Paul Technical College. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> PEIP- Public Employees Insurance Plan <br /> MOTION by Buckbee, second by Brenner to approve the PEIP contract renewal with the <br /> new rates.
