Xcel Energy Lift Station <br /> <br />Council Member Capra indicated the trees have not been trimmed. She then asked for <br />information on the generator. <br /> <br />Mr. Palzer indicated he received information from one vendor and nothing from the other <br />two. He then said that Ziegler, Inc., has several used generators available ranging in <br />price from $10,000 to $14,000 with 5,600 to 7,500 hours all maintained through service <br />contracts. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra asked how much a new generator would cost. Mr. Palzer <br />indicated a new generator would cost $25,000 to $30,000. He then indicated that in <br />addition to the purchase price there would be a cost of $2,000 to $5,000 for hookups. <br /> <br />Mayor Sweeney asked for something in writing concerning pricing, hours and warranty. <br /> <br />Mr. Palzer indicated that he has doubts that the trees are causing the issue. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra indicated she saw them working on Centerville Road cutting <br />down branches. <br /> <br />Council Member Lee indicated he would like City Staff to contact Xcel and ask them to <br />trim the trees because the power takes out the lift station and that is an issue. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra indicated she contacted Xcel and was told to call City Hall and <br />ask City Hall to pressure Xcel to trim them because that is a secondary line and those are <br />not a priority. <br /> <br />Council agreed that Staff would contaCt Xcel and ask that the trees be trimmed. <br /> <br />2. Warming House <br /> <br />Council Member Lee indicated it is his understanding that the Lions intend to wait until it <br />is cooler to re-roofthe warming house. <br /> <br />Mayor Sweeney indicated that during the festival it was noticed that there is rotting fascia <br />on the warming house but that is not an issue if the City pays for materials it can be <br />repaired or replaced. He then said that the intention was to re-roofthe warming house in ~ <br />September. <br /> <br />3. Tri-City Meeting U~date <br /> <br />Council Member Capra indicated that she and Council Members Paar and Lee took a bus <br />tour of the proposed corridor and noted that Columbus Township was added. <br /> <br />Page 11 of13 <br />
