drainage, prior to the buildup of the Portage Way Second Addition, flowed into the
pond between Portage Way and the single family units to the West of Portage Way.
At any rate, during construction of Portage Way units and continuing to this day,
water has been pumped out of excavated foundations and into the stonn sewers, and
subsequently into the pond across Dupre Rd. from the site; and silt fencing has not
been maintained and sediment continues to cover the sidewalk and Dupre Rd-. and
feed into the stann sewer. We believe that there was not adequate engineering
inspection of this project as it has evolved (as provided for in the Development
Contract). Request that the city review the origitud engineering plansfor
verificotion of grading and drainage ptl1"fl1fleters of the Portage Way addition;
insure that the addition is properly graded and proper drainage from the wetland is
accommodated; and immediately enforce such provisions of the development
contract as wiH stop on-going sediment spillage from the construction site onto the
street and sidewalks of Dupre Rd. (i.e., require within 24 hours the replacement of
blown down silt fencing and the sweeping of Dupre Rd. and Portage Way).
