When the 2d Addition to Eagle Pass was being presented to the city ~. ll/e.. council for approval, our Association and residents of the city appeared before the council and implored the council not to approve it until (1) the developer had corrected deficiencies in the first phase of our development; and (2) the city was willing to enforce its' development ordinances and development contracts. We believe that the city has not provided such proper engineering oversight as would preclude the grading and drainage issues presented above; and that public works has not adequately monitored construction sites for compliance with the same. · We strongly recommend that these procedures and job requirements be reviewed by the city with the goal of enhancing the best possible contractor development procetblres for our city. By doing so, the City of Centerville will learn from our experien(:es and live up to the excellence caOed for by all good government · W"Jlh respect to Common Interest Communities, such as ours, in'Volving common groud property owned by an Association, we also strongly request that the provisions of development contracts (both -those affecting our present development and those yet to come for the city) be enforced to their fullest compliance. · And we request that in our cUn'ent 2d Addition project, any and all escrow pro'Vided by the developer as part of the development contract be withheld and/or used to remedy our issues and concerns.
