city and nothing has been done. Silt and sediment are still flowing into the storm celler
and into the pond and Rice Creek Watershed. If the developer won't do it, then the city
should arrange
for it and withhold money from the development contract escrow.
It is amazing to me that, with all of our communication of these issues, we (our
association) get an email from the city clerk on July I, 2003, stating that the city has
received a complaint from a single family home abutting our development regarding the
cutting of weeds behind 7031 Eagle Trail, and quoting city ordinance #54 on the
requirement to control weeds, and that the city would appreciate our prompt cutting of
this area. We responded at once and did what the city requested (we had been holding back
on this area pending resolution of the drainage problem along this area) but did what the
city told us to do anyway. Yet when we try to get the city to enforce its' own
requirements (like silt fencing "and street sweeping), we don't get any
response at all.

Jim Halstrom
Chisago County Emergency Management
Chisago County Veterans Services
38794 Sixth Ave.
North Branch, MN 55056
Phone: (651) 674-5725
Fax: (651) 674-5712
jghalst@co.chisago.mn.us

This confirms that this email message has been swept for the presence of computer viruses.

This confirms that this email message has been swept for the presence of computer viruses.

2
