<br /> <br />STAFF REPORT <br />CENTERVILLE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />Date: <br /> <br />July 9, 2003 <br /> <br />To: <br /> <br />Honorable Mayor and City Council Members <br />Ms. Kim Moore-Sykes, City Admini~trator <br /> <br />Ellen Paulseth, Finance Director cd <br /> <br />From: <br /> <br />Re: <br /> <br />Pay Equity Compliance <br /> <br />************************************************************************ <br /> <br />Pursuant to the discussion at the budget workshop, attached is a resolution which would <br />equalize health insurance benefits for all employees. <br /> <br />The attached pay equity report shows the effect of the change. It appears that this change <br />would now bring the City in to compliance. The monthly salary amounts include all <br />insurance benefits paid by the city. Previously, there was a disparity of $40.45 per month <br />between union and non-union personnel due to the difference in the amount ofhea1th <br />insurance benefit. The disparity was greater in the year 2002, in which the :first report <br />was filed. <br /> <br />The new report must be adopted by the Council, signed by the Mayor, and submitted to <br />the Department of Employee Relations prior to September 11, 2003. The changes must <br />be effective by August 11,2003. <br />
