City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />January 25, 2012 <br />Motion by Council Member King, seconded by Council Member Paar, to approve Res. #12- <br />005 – Authorizing the Creation of Fund #401 and Transfer of $26,100 from the General <br />Fund to this Fund prior to the City’s 2011 Financial Year End as presented. All in favor. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />2. Res. #12-006 – Approving State of MN JPA w/City on Behalf of its City Attorney & <br />Centennial Lakes Police Department (Allowing Use of State’s Criminal Justice Data <br />Network) <br /> <br />Attorney Glaser briefly reviewed the process of his office charging offenders of crimes, <br />“Criminal Complaint” and the necessity of additional agencies review and approval prior to <br />forwarding the complaint to the Courts within a short timeframe, 36 hours in some incidences. <br />Attorney Glaser stated that on a routine basis a courier service or a Community Service Officer is <br />utilized to transport these documents to these multiple entities within the allowable timeframe. <br />Attorney Glaser stated that resolution allows approval for the City’s Attorney and Police <br />Department to utilize the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension’s eCharging system allowing <br />transferring of complaints via electronic means and allows the City’s Attorney access to the <br />Court Date Services Subscriber Network. <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber questioned within the agreement is states that costs would be the responsibility <br />rd <br />of a 3 party user and would that be the City’s responsibility. Attorney Glaser stated that would; <br />however, currently these services are being funded by a grant and there would be no cost to <br />participate. Attorney Glaser stated that there potentially could be in the future. Council Member <br />King questioned the provider of the grant funding. Attorney Glaser stated that the grant is from <br />the Federal Government and at some point all prosecuting firms will be required to participate in <br />this program. <br /> <br />Council Member King requested that Attorney Glaser provide additional information regarding <br />the grant provider. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member Love to approve <br />Res. #12-006 as presented. All in favor. Council Member King Abstained, citing the need <br />for more time to review. Motion passed. <br /> <br />3. I35W/E Coalition (January 19, 2012 Meeting) <br /> <br />Council Member Fehrenbacher reported that he attended the meeting and discussion was had <br />regarding growth, MNPass Improvements and updates from various cities that were in <br />attendance. Council Member Fehrenbacher stated that numerous roadway/bridge projects are <br />planned for the next few years; however, they will not be closer to the City than Little Canada <br />Road. <br /> <br />4. Rush Line Corridor <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber reported that both he and Council Member Fehrenbacher participated in <br />different meetings where discussions were had regarding statistics, new Park and Rides, MNPass <br />and roadway/bridge projects. Both members reported that they posses presentation materials if <br />there is an interest. <br /> <br /> <br />
