City of Centerville <br /> Council Meeting Minutes <br /> August 8, 2012 <br /> Administrator Larson also reported that the Commission desires to modify City Code 156 <br /> allowing certain uses within land use districts and modifying those same districts and <br /> usage within a chart form allows ease of understanding the code. The Commission will <br /> be holding a public hearing in September obtaining public input. <br /> Engineer Statz reported that a meeting will be held on August 13, 2012 with staff to <br /> discuss the 2013 Capital Street Project. <br /> Council Member King stated that the 2013 Fete des Lacs celebration went very well and <br /> that the Committee is looking forward to filling the Parks & Recreation vacancy. <br /> Council Member King questioned whether any information had been received regarding <br /> the downtown environmental impact study that was previously completed and its ongoing <br /> usage. Engineer Statz stated that he had received communication stating that the study <br /> did not have a deadline date and if the same development as was originally proposed <br /> happened, there would be no need to complete another study. <br /> Council Member Paar suggested that both the cities of Lino Lakes and Centerville <br /> participate in any and all meetings with Anoka County regarding the reconstruction of <br /> Centerville Road to Birch Street. Administrator Larson stated that the County is willing <br /> to work with the City regarding the re- construction, trails, etc. Mayor Wilharber stated <br /> that abutting property owners had been notified of the project and upcoming input <br /> meetings. <br /> Council Member Paar stated that he had received an email that he forwarded to Dallas <br /> regarding the condition of the building located at 7281 Main Street. Administrator <br /> Larson stated that staff would be addressing possible code violation issues with the <br /> property owner. <br /> Council Member Paar reported that the most recent Fire Steering Committee meeting was <br /> very lengthy with discussions regarding emergency service providers, 2013 budget, <br /> allowing for a second duty crew position for the hours of 8:00 — 5:00 p.m. Monday <br /> through Friday and salary increases for full -time staff members if goals have been <br /> reached. <br /> Council Member Paar stated that all Fete des Lacs activities went very well and thanked <br /> everyone who volunteered, local businesses, sponsors and participates. <br /> Mayor Wilharber stated that all liquor licensees had participated in an annual compliance <br /> check by the Police Department and all were successful. Mayor Wilharber also stated <br /> that there were seven (7) neighborhoods that participated in Night to Unite. Mayor <br /> Wilharber stated that 200 to 300 people were using LaMotte Park on the weekend <br /> without a permit, police were contacted and the park was cleaned up by the group.
