<br />STORY~HALF. That portion of a building under a gable, hip or gambrel roof, the wall <br />plates of which, on at least 2 opposite exterior walls, are not more than 2 feet above the floor of <br />the story. <br /> <br />STREET ACCESS. A public thoroughfare which affords the principal means of abutting <br /> <br />land. <br /> <br />STREET LINE. The legal line of demarcation between a street and abutting land. <br /> <br />STRUCTURAL ALTERATION. Any change in the supporting members of a building <br />or structure, such as bearing walls, columns, beams or girders; provided, however, the <br />application of any exterior siding to an existing building for the purpose of beautifying and <br />modernizing shall not be considered a STRUCTURAL ALTERATION. <br /> <br />STRUCTURE. Anything constructed or erected, the use of which requires a location on <br />the ground or attached to something having a location on the ground, or an attachment to <br />something having a fixed location on the ground; including, in addition to buildings, billboards, <br />carports, porches, decks and other building features, but not including sidewalks, drives, <br />swingsets, enclosed play structures under 50 square feet, fences and patios. <br /> <br />SUBDIVISION. See subdivision chapter. <br /> <br />SUPPLY YARD. A commercial establishment storing or offering for sale building <br />supplies, steel supplies, coal, heavy equipment, feed and grain and similar goods. SUPPLY <br />YARDS do not include the wrecking, salvaging, dismantling or storage of automobiles and <br />similar vehicles. <br /> <br />TOWNHOUSE. Single-family, attached units in structures housing 3 or more <br />continuous dwelling units, sharing a common wall, each having separate and individual front and <br />rear entrances; the structures being as of a row house type as distinguished from multiple- <br />dwelling apartment buildings. <br /> <br />TRA VEL TRAILERS. A mobile vehicle with wheels, designed for overnight living or <br />camping purposes, capable of being towed by a motor vehicle. <br /> <br />UNIT~MOBILE HOME PARK. A section of ground in a mobile home park of not less <br />than 7,500 square feet of unoccupied space in an area designated as the location for 1 mobile <br />home, off-street parking space for 2 automobiles and other uses considered pertinent to the <br />establishment and use of a mobile home residence as permitted by this chapter. <br />(Ord. 25, passed 10-13-1976) <br /> <br />USABLE OPEN SPACE. A ground area on a lot, which is graded, developed, <br />landscaped or equipped or intended and maintained for recreation or leisure, available to and <br />usable by persons occupying a dwelling unit and their guests. <br />
