<br /> <br />2.Amendment of City Code Chapter 92 <br /> <br />The Committee reviewed the presented proposed code amendment. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Committee Member Branch, seconded by Committee Member <br />Grahek to recommend to the City Council the following proposed amended <br />wording: <br /> <br /> 92.30 – second line: delete the word “private” and change “fifty” to “thirty” <br /> 93.31 – add subparagraph (6): “The applicant must be at least 18 years or older” <br /> 92.34 – first sentence (additional wording): “to park property” between the words <br />“damage” and “or” <br /> 92.35 - #2: delete the word “his” and replace with “Administrator’s’” <br /> 92.41 – second line: change “City Celebration” to “City Events” <br /> <br />All in favor. Committee Member Seeley nay. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />3.Condition of LaMotte Park playing fields <br /> <br /> The Committee had concerns regarding the restoration of the fields and potential for <br />inability to offer these fields for use for the fall playing season. <br /> <br /> <br />4.Movie in the Park <br /> <br /> Committee Member Peterson reported that if the movie “Despicable Me” is available that <br />would be the proposed movie. The event would take place on September 14 with a rain <br />date of September 21, 2013 commencing at 7:30 p.m. Additional discussion took place <br />regarding publicity through the school district, City’s web site and sign, posters, and <br />items such as popcorn and hot cocoa or ice cream being served. It was stated that <br />volunteers would need to arrive at 5:30 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br />5.Farewell to Committee Member Mark Haiden <br /> <br /> Committee Member Haiden has been appointed to the Planning & Zoning Commission. <br />Chairperson Branch thanked Committee Member Haiden for his dedicated service for the <br />past five years. Mr. Haiden stated that serving on the Committee had been a wonderful <br />experience and that the City has been well served by them. <br /> <br /> <br />6.Grand Opening of Volleyball courts <br /> <br /> The Laurie LaMotte Memorial Park sand volleyball court is scheduled for completion by <br /> <br />August 30, 2013and the Committee felt that an attempt to provide a challenge to both the <br />Council and the Planning & Zoning Commission to play a “Grand Opening” volleyball <br />game.
