Res. #13 -028 — Adopting Budget & Tax Levies for 2014 <br /> Finance Director Paulseth and Administrator Larson previously addressed this item <br /> during the public hearing. <br /> Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member King to <br /> approve Res. #13 -028 — Adopting Budget & Tax Levies for 2014 as presented All in <br /> favor. Motion passed. <br /> 2. Res. #13 -029 — Approving of Anoka County's Classification & Sale of Forfeited <br /> Lands — PIN #R23- 31 -22 -34 -0026 Per Anoka County Res. #2013 -130 <br /> Mayor Wilharber stated that the small parcel is on the east side of Dupre Road. <br /> Administrator Larson stated that Council has expressed an interest in purchasing this land <br /> for public purpose in the past and that no other individuals that he is aware of have <br /> expressed interest. Administrator Larson stated that this is the beginning process of the <br /> County taking over the parcel for forfeiture and that if Council desired he would make <br /> them aware that the City is still interested in purchasing the parcel. <br /> Motion by Council Member King, seconded by Council Member Paar, to approve <br /> Res. #13 -029 — Approving of Anoka County's Classification & Sale of Forfeited <br /> Lands — PIN #R23- 31 -22 -34 -0026 Per Anoka County Res. #2013 -130 as presented <br /> All in favor. Motion passed. <br /> Council consensus was to continue to acquire the parcel. <br /> 3. Res. #13 -030 — Ordering Preparation of Plans & Specifications and Ordering <br /> Advertisement for Bids on Improvement — 2014 Mill & Overlay Projects <br /> Administrator Larson stated that this resolution would affirm Council's desire to move <br /> forward with the 2014 Mill & Overlay Projects containing 13 segments of roadway. <br /> Administrator Larson explained that the project would be bid in two parts to take <br /> advantage of the sales tax exemption offered to governmental entities. Engineer Statz <br /> stated that bids would be received in January for materials and February for equipment <br /> and labor. Administrator Larson stated that with favorable bids, assessments may not be <br /> needed. Discussion ensued regarding the ability to remove items from the bids if areas <br /> were determined to not be needed or the assessment process would be needed and items <br /> to be completed prior to the Mill & Overlay Projects (i.e. catch basins, heaving of <br /> existing storm sewer lines, etc.). <br /> Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member Paar, to <br /> approve Res. #13 -030 — Ordering Preparation of Plans & Specifications and <br /> Page 4of8 <br /> 4 <br />
