City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />December 11, 2013 <br /> <br />8. Parks & Recreation Committee Recommendation to Reserve Unspent Budget <br /> Items in 2013 for use in 2014 <br /> <br />Administrator Larson suggested that Council consider this item at a later date following <br />the submission of all 2013 expenses associated with the Parks & Recreation Program <br />Budget. Administrator Larson stated that Council has allowed this practice in the past. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member King to <br />Table This Item Until All 2013 Expenditures Are Accounted For. All in favor. <br />Motion passed. <br /> <br />9. Consider Purchasing a Replacement Phone System & Agreement with Roseville <br /> I-Net <br /> <br />Administrator Larson stated that the City’s current telephone system has been in place for <br />more than ten years and could use replacement along and recommended the City of <br />Roseville’s capability of providing telephone and internet services rather than Comcast <br />and Century Link at a lower cost. Administrator Larson also stated that the new phone <br />system would allow for connectivity between Administrative Offices and Public Works, <br />funds would be expended from Capital Equipment funds which the purchase is budgeted <br />for, and that the City of Roseville provides similar services to the Cities of Circle Pines, <br />Lino Lakes, Forest Lake and the Centennial Fire District. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Love, seconded by Council Member Paar, to Purchase <br />a Replacement Telephone System, Enter Into An Agreement with the City of <br />Roseville for I-Net Services and Expend up to $4,600 from Capital Equipment funds <br />as presented. All in favor. Motion passed. <br /> <br />10. Consider Cancellation/Re-Scheduling of the December 25, 2013 City Council <br /> Meeting. <br /> <br />The Mayor stated that due to the scheduling of the next meeting which falls on Christmas <br />Day, would Council like to cancel the meeting and if one is needed prior to the end of the <br />year he can call one. The process will be similar to what happened during the month of <br />November. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member Paar, to <br />Cancel the Regularly Scheduled Council Meeting of December 25, 2013 due to the <br />Christmas Holiday. All in favor. Motion passed. <br /> <br />IX. ANNOUNCEMENTS/UPDATES <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson stated that the Department of Natural Resources has placed <br />conditions on the City’s ability to issue an Interim Use Permit for the Black Dirt <br />Operation.
