Article II Meetings Section 1. Regular Meetings The ACFPC typically holds regular meetings on the last Thursday of January, April, July and October of each year. The first meeting of the calendar year shall be known as the annual meeting and shall include the election of both officers and trustees whose terms have expired. When warranted, meeting dates and times may be changed/altered at the direction of the Chair. Section 2. Special Meetings Meetings other than regular meetings of the ACFPC are termed special meetings and may be called for any date either by the ACFPC Chair or when requested by at least four (4) ACFPC members. All special meetings must have five (5) days advance notice given to ACFPC members prior to the holding of a special meeting. Section 3. Location and Time of Meetings The location and time for regular meetings shall be as established by the ACFPC members as an item of business at any regular meeting. The location and time for special meetings shall be at the discretion of the caller for any suitable place and reasonable time. When warranted, meeting locations and times may be altered by the direction of the Chair. Section 4. Quorum At all regular and special meetings of the ACFPC, a quorum shall be defined as "the simple majority of active members" for the conducting of business. Section 5. Voting Each member of the ACFPC, except that: the membership of the cities of Centerville, Lino Lakes, and Circle Pines shall be represented only by the Centennial Fire District; membership of the cities of Anoka and Champlin shall be represented only by the Anoka/Champlin Fire District; membership of the cities of Spring Lake Park, Blaine, and Mounds View shall be represented only by the SBM Fire Board; and membership of the cities of Ramsey and Nowthen shall be represented only by a representative of the Nowthen/Ramsey joint powers agreement. 17 28
