Each Member shall be represented by 1) one of its elected officials and 2) its fire <br /> chief, or their designee in the fire chiefs absence. Member fire departments <br /> which represent multiple jurisdictions shall designate which elected official from <br /> their participating jurisdictions shall be entitled to vote on behalf of that Member <br /> fire department. Each so designated elected official and each fire chief (or in the <br /> chief's absence, the chief's designee) shall have one vote each. <br /> Section 6. Order of Business <br /> The order of business at a regular meeting of the ACFPC shall be according to <br /> Robert's Rules of Order. The order of business at a special meeting of the <br /> ACFPC shall be at the discretion of the conductor of such a meeting. <br /> Article III <br /> Membership <br /> Section 1. Categories <br /> a. Active Members <br /> An Active Member, defined as the fire chief and one elected person from each <br /> fire agency, pays an annual membership fee and has voting privileges. A <br /> designated person from Central Communications will also be considered an <br /> Active Member, but will not be required to pay annual dues. <br /> b. Associate Members <br /> An Associate Member does not pay an annual membership fee, does not have <br /> voting privileges at ACFPC meetings, cannot be an officer of the ACFPC and <br /> cannot be a trustee on the Board of Directors, but an associate member has all <br /> other rights and privileges of an active member including being a member of <br /> committees and voting on committee business matters as a member of that <br /> committee. <br /> Section 2. Eligibility to be an Active Member <br /> Any organized fire department which provides fire protection to an area within <br /> Anoka County is eligible to be an active member of the ACFPC upon payment of <br /> an annual membership fee. Any such department may apply for membership in <br /> the ACFPC by declaring their desire for active membership to the ACFPC in <br /> writing a minimum of 30 days prior to the next scheduled ACFPC meeting. <br /> 18 <br /> 29 <br />
