When considering a new Active Member, a sub-committee of the ACFPC will be <br /> formed to review the application. This sub-committee will bring a <br /> recommendation back to the next regular meeting of the ACFPC for formal <br /> acceptance. <br /> Section 3. Termination of an Active Member <br /> If a Member fails to perform any material obligation as required by this <br /> Agreement or the By-laws, then the ACFPC, upon 60 days written notice, may <br /> terminate the membership of such non-performing Member. <br /> Section 4. Eligibility to be an Associate Member <br /> Any person, firm, organization or government official whose interests are deemed <br /> to be consistent with the purposes of the ACFPC as stated in Article I, Section 2 <br /> of the Bylaws is eligible to be an associate member of the ACFPC except when <br /> eligible to be an active member. An application for associate membership in the <br /> ACFPC can be made by either declaring their desire for associate membership in <br /> writing to the ACFPC or by appearing in person or by representative before the <br /> ACFPC at any meeting of the ACFPC and declaring their desire for associate <br /> member ship. <br /> Section 5. Officers and Conduct <br /> The three (3) elected officers of the ACFPC shall be the Chair, Secretary, and <br /> the Treasurer-Vice Chair. Officers are elected at the annual meeting from the <br /> active membership of the ACFPC for a term of two (2) years each and shall hold <br /> office until the next election for that position. The Chair and Treasurer-Vice Chair <br /> are to be elected in even-numbered calendar years and the Secretary is to be <br /> elected in odd-numbered calendar years. In the event of a tie for the election of <br /> an officer, a flip of the coin will decide the winner. <br /> Any vacancy of an officer's position shall be filled by means of an elective <br /> procedure at any meeting of the ACFPC. <br /> All officers shall perform the functions of each positions described in Article 4 of <br /> the Bylaws. If any officer is either misusing that office or failing to properly <br /> perform the functions of that office, a recommendation for either vacating that <br /> office or other corrective action shall be made in writing by three (3) or more <br /> ACFPC members at a meeting of the ACFPC for such action as it is deemed <br /> necessary and appropriate. The affected person shall be notified by the Board of <br /> Directors of any pending action and shall be given a chance to appear at the next <br /> meeting of the ACFPC to state a defense and/or a position regarding that <br /> pending action. <br /> 19 <br /> 30 <br />
