City of Centerville <br />P & R Meeting Minutes <br />April 2, 2014 <br /> Mr. Moua attended this meeting to request a change of dates for the first tournament and <br />to ensure his Special Event Permit application was filled out correctly. He gave his <br />signed application to Committee Member Grahek to turn into the city offices. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Committee Member Amundsen, seconded by Committee <br />Member Bettinger to recommend to the City Council to approve the change of dates <br />for the first tournament from June 8 and 9 to May 31 & June 1. All in favor. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />IV. CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES <br /> <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Committee Member Waeghe , seconded by Committee Member <br />Peterson to approve the March 5, 2014 minutes as written. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />V. COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. Park Facility Permit Application - Centennial Youth (Flag) Football <br /> <br /> The Centennial Youth (Flag) Football has submitted an application for the use of the ball <br />fields at Laurie LaMotte Park, Fields 1 & 2, from August 12 through October 3, 2014, <br />Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00pm to 7:30pm and Saturdays from 10:00am to <br />4:00pm. <br /> <br />2. Park Facility Permit Application - Centennial Soccer Club <br /> <br /> The Centennial Soccer Club has submitted an application for the use of Acorn Park <br />(south area of open grass areas) and Laurie LaMotte Park Fields 1, 2 & 11 from April 1 <br />through July 26, 2014 from 5:30pm to sunset and also from August 1 through October <br />30, 2014 from 5:00pm to sunset. The Committee is unsure if these dates include <br /> <br />weekends. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Committee Member Bettinger, second by Committee Member <br />Waeghe to recommend to the City Council to approve the dates of April 1 through <br />July 26, 2014 from 5:30pm to sunset for the Centennial Soccer Club. All in favor <br />with the exception of Committee Member Grahek who abstained. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> Staff will be requested to again contact both the Centennial Youth Football League and <br />Centennial Soccer Club to request that they work with each other to develop an amicable <br />schedule of usage for the LaMotte Park fields for August, September and October as their <br />requests overlap and, if an amicable schedule cannot be worked out, to appear before the <br />Committee for a resolution. These two items are tabled until the May committee <br />meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />3. Special Event Permit Application – 5K & 8K Run on September 27, 2014 <br /> <br />The Centennial Baseball Boosters submitted an application for a 5K & an 8K run on <br />September 27, 2014 for the use of the trails and Laurie LaMotte Park.
