<br />Part-Time Work Week Defined: The regularly scheduled work week for part- <br />time, non-supervisory Employees is less than thirty-two (32) hours per week, <br />including rest periods. Flexible work schedules will be allowed on a case by case <br />basis as approved by the City Administrator. <br /> <br />6.4 Work Breaks <br /> <br />Meal Break: Employees working eight or more consecutive hours will be <br />authorized an unpaid meal break. <br /> <br />Rest Break: When working under conditions where the use of a rest break is <br />practical, Employees will be allowed to take a fifteen-min break approximately <br />midway through each four-hour shift. The time of is subject to the <br />approval of the supervisor. Unused rest breaks may accumulated, nor may <br />they be used for any purpose other than a mid-shift Unused rest breaks <br />may not be used to leave work early. <br /> <br />6.5 Job Sharing <br /> <br /> <br />'dual basis at an Employee's <br />ediate supervisor. However, exempt <br />Employees shall not be denied compensation for any absence of less than one day, <br />since the Employee is presumed to work forty hours per week, some during the <br />regular workday, and some outside those hours. <br /> <br />Overtime Authorization: Overtime should be avoided, but when it is necessary, <br />the City Administrator must give specific approval prior to its being earned.
