City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />July 22, 2015 <br />Asures taken. It is Mr. Statz's opinion that the costs to take corrective measures would exceed <br />the purchase of credits. <br />f►,Mid l`A-1AJ-11:11 x*W <br />1. Home Detail, Inc. — Purchase of Lot @ 7261 Main Street <br />City Attorney Glaser stated that he had met with Mr. Jeff Magdik, Home Detail, Inc. prior to the <br />previous Council meeting regarding Mr. Magdik's purchase agreement for 7261 Main Street. <br />Attorney Glaser also stated that Mr. Magdik interpreted the language in the purchase agreement <br />incorrectly regarding the necessity to close on the property by the end of June, 2015, would still <br />like to purchase the lot to construct a home for resale. He and the City Administrator met with <br />Mr. Magdik last week to review his plans. <br />Mr. Jeff Magdik, Home Detail, Inc. introduced himself to Council and reviewed a time line for <br />construction and a sample of a building plan. Mr. Magdik stated that he strongly believes that <br />the lot is a viable lot but has many unique construction and location features. Mr. Magdik stated <br />that he has built many homes on similar lots and locations. However, time would be needed to <br />obtain construction plans that would address all of the lot's uniqueness's. Mr. Magdik stated that <br />even though the lot is small, odd shaped and near a busy street, it has 140' of lakeshore which is <br />very desirable. <br />Discussion ensued regarding noise from the abutting roadway, ben-ning/noise reduction <br />measures, home values in neighboring developments, updating of older homes in the area and <br />possible redevelopment of blighted near -by property. <br />Mayor Wilharber stated that Mr. Magdik is attending this evening to present a timeline and <br />provide information and the item would be addressed in the Closed Executive Session further. <br />.
