City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />July 22, 2015 <br />craftedChief and Battalion Chief Administrator Ericson stated that an agreement would need to be <br />s h determined. <br />ensuedBrief discussion by Council. <br />i <br />Administrator Ericson stated that he has worked closely with members of the White Bear Area <br />Chamber i •.rs and that building relationships with businesses brings development.The <br />Chamber is offering ,i 0% discount and maybe Centerville should join for , year o determine <br />the benefits. <br />Consensus of the Council was to provide the necessary tools for continued economic growth. <br />Administrator Ericson stated that he, Mayor Wilharber, Council Member Paar all participated in <br />a Special Meeting of the Fire Steering Committee on Monday evening where extensive <br />discussion ensued as to offering the vacant Fire Chief Position to Mr. Harlan Lundstrom. <br />Administrator Ericson and others on the Steering Committee felt that the candidate was <br />extremely qualified, aware of Lino Lakes' withdrawal from the Fire District and a good fit. <br />,.,,E % <br />MW 111117 11, 1 <br />It <br />6. Centennial Fire District 2016 Proposed Budget <br />Administrator Ericson stated that the Fire Steering Committee recommends the approval of the <br />Centennial Fire District Proposed 2016 Budget - $601,554 which is a 28.11% decrease from <br />2015 and takes into consideration that the district will be comprised of two (2) communities <br />(Circle Pines and Centerville). <br />Council Member Paar stated that the estimated increase would be $88,000 to the City of <br />Centerville. Administrator Ericson stated that he has had discussions with the Finance Director <br />and it is believed that the City will meet the financial requirements. <br />�f; <br />
