<br />Centerville City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />March 26, 2003 <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers indicated that Scenario 2 is drawn to get Lakeland <br /> <br />Hills looped and that would loop the biggest portion of the system. <br /> <br />Ms. Chris Lofgren, 7256 Centerville Road, indicated she understood that there would be <br />no directional drilling equipment on site for the new development area. <br /> <br />Mayor Sweeney indicated there would be directional drilling required to get the water to <br />the development. <br /> <br />Mr. Robert Goldsmith, 7294 Mill Road, asked if the assessments are assessed once or <br />spread out over time. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers indicated that the amounts are assessed once but <br />residents can opt for a payment plan over 10 years. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra indicated the City would be looking at lowering the ~meIG5t late <br />8% interest. Y'{L-J:[ <br /> <br />Mr. Scheller asked that those that do not need to be included for the City to achieve the <br />goal oflooping be left out of the Scenario and those in attendance agreed with him. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers confirmed that Scenario #2 was preferred. <br /> <br />Mr. Scheller indicated Scenario #1 is the first choice and Scenario 2 if the City needs to <br />loop. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers asked what would happen if someone in the middle <br />that is not included suddenly needs City water. She then commented that those residents <br />would bear the complete cost of running water to their property. <br /> <br />Mr. Shimon asked if there was a sleeve under the creek and if the City could charge them <br />to use it. Mr. Peterson indicated that they did not intend to use the sleeve as technology is <br />better now and it is possible to dig under the creek without disturbing it. <br /> <br />Mr. Mark Labarre, 7261 Mill Road, mark indicated that Scenario #1 provides for the <br />contractor paying $80,000 to run the water main. Council Member Capra indicated the <br />amount was $94,000. <br /> <br />Mr. Labarre asked how much farther the $50,000 would get the City if added to the <br />developer's portion. Council Member Broussard Vickers indicated that there is not <br />$50,000 available. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers indicated that, if there is money left, she would want <br />to use it for this project but it is not $50,000. <br /> <br />Page 13 of 19 <br />
