<br />Centerville City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />March 26, 2003 <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard Vickers seconded by Council Member Paar <br />to accept the Municipal Construction & Development Fee Revenue & Expenses <br />Annual Report. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />4. City Hall- Downtown <br /> <br />Mayor Sweeney asked that this item be held over for discussion at another meeting. <br /> <br />5. Electronic Card Access <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated that Staff determined it would not be possible to obtain a <br />folding machine for under $7,000. She then indicated that Staff is concerned with the <br />security of City Hall with the keys as they can be easily copied before they are returned <br />and is recommending an electronic card access for the front and back door. She further <br />commented that the electronic access could be used for verifying payroll as well as <br />making it easier to cancel an access card electronically if it is not returned or is lost. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra indicated this was discussed when the City terminated an <br />employee but the dollar amount was higher at that point. <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated that Mr. Palzer obtained a bid for the front and back door. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Council Member Broussard Vickers and seconded by Council <br />Member Capra to authorize Staff to have the card system installed not to exceed <br />$4,000 and to obtain several bids for comparison. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra asked Staff to determine the differences in this system compared <br />to the one a couple of years ago. Ms. Bender indicated that the price quote last time <br />included a monitoring service. <br /> <br />VOTE: All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Council agreed to discuss the folding machine during budget discussions. <br /> <br />6. Resolution #03-016 Cable Commission Joint Powers Agreement <br /> <br />Motion was made by Council Member Broussard Vickers and seconded by council <br />Member Capra to approve Resolution #03-016, a Resolution approving the Cable <br />Commission Joint Powers Agreement. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />7. Volunteer Recognition Day <br /> <br />Council Member Capra asked for authorization to begin planning for the event. <br /> <br />Page 17 of19 <br />
