<br />METRO DIGEST <br /> <br />Project Management Consultant (PMC), to <br />adjust the contract total from $15.4 million <br />to an amount not to exceed $16.9 million. <br /> <br />. authorized Metropolitan Transportation <br />Services to initiate Requests for Proposals <br />(RFPs) to identify new contracted transit <br />service providers, through a competitive bid <br />process, for the East Metro, West Metro, <br />and 604-614 service contract packages due <br />to end in September 2003. <br /> <br />· authorized its Regional Administrator to <br />enter into a contract with MnDOT in the <br />amount of $4,790,177 for the purpose of <br />passing through federal CMAQ funds for <br />regional Travel Demand Management <br />(TOM) services. <br /> <br />· authorized its Regional Administrator to <br />negotiate and execute a contract amendment <br />for the period January 1,2003, through <br />December 31, 2005, with Lorenz Bus <br />Service, for operation of North Suburban <br />Lines service in St. Paul and the northern <br />suburbs in an amount not to exceed <br />$4,647,344. <br /> <br />. authorized its Regional Administrator to <br />execute a contract with the Goodyear Tire & <br />Rubber Company for tire lease and service <br />in accordance with the Council's <br />specifications and Goodyear's bid dated <br />October 25,2002. <br /> <br />· authorized its Regional Administrator to <br />enter into a two-year contract with Printing <br />Enterprises to print bus schedules as <br />specified and per the bid rates through <br />December 31, 2004, with renewal for an <br />additional 12 months upon mutual <br />agreement. <br /> <br />· authorized its Regional Administrator to <br />negotiate and amend the professional <br />services agreement with Cubic to provide <br /> <br />Page 7 <br /> <br />the following: <br /> <br />1. an additional 100,000 smart cards for <br />the Regional Fare Collection System; <br />and <br /> <br />2. a pre-paid benefits package for the <br />Regional Fare Collection system. <br /> <br />· authorized its Regional Administrator to <br />execute an interagency agreement (Master <br />Cooperation Agreement) with Hennepin <br />County for services related to the <br />construction of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) <br />service on County Road 81 between <br />Minneapolis and Rogers. <br /> <br />· amended the 2002 Capital Budget <br />increasing the annual budget appropriation <br />by $1,500,000 and authorized changes to the <br />2002 Authorized Capital Program which <br />reflects individual projects as presented. <br /> <br />· authorized its Regional Administrator to <br />negotiate and execute a contract with Hay- <br />Dobbs P.A. for preliminary and final design <br />of stations and park and ride facilities, <br />station area planning at two locations, and <br />construction support services on the <br />Northwest Corridor in an amount not to <br />exceed $1.5 million. <br /> <br />· authorized its Regional Administrator to <br />amend the current bus procurement <br />contracts with Gillig Corp. to include the <br />labor cost to install Metro Transit's wiring <br />harness for the new 800 MHz radio system <br />and Automated Passenger Counters (APC). <br /> <br />· authorized presentation of the Sector 5 <br />Concept Plan to the public for review and <br />comment at meetings and a public hearing <br />in January/February, 2003. <br /> <br />· authorized its Regional Administrator to <br />negotiate and acquire the property owned by <br />Viking Electric at 924 - 51h Street North at a <br /> <br />December 2002 <br />
