Status of LaMotte Trails committee review (5:30pm on 9-7-16) <br />The committee members met at 5:30pm (one hour prior to the official committee <br />th <br />meeting on September 7) at Laurie LaMotte Park to look at the current race course <br />and suggest alternate race routes. This item is tabled to the October committee <br />meeting. To be added to the Action Items list. <br /> <br /> <br />2.Cub Scout Rocket Launch – Laurie LaMotte Park <br />Motion was made by Committee Member Amundsen, seconded by Committee <br />Member Peterson to recommend to the City Council members to approve the <br />Park Facility Permit application for Cub Scout Pack 232 to use LaMotte fields <br />3,4 & 5 to launch small hobby rockets with the local MASA rocketry club on <br />th <br />Saturday, October 1 or October 8 from 8:00am to 5:00pm All in Favor. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br /> <br />3.Soccer – Acorn Creek Park <br />Motion was made by Committee Member Amundsen, seconded by Committee <br />Member Peterson to recommend to the City Council members to approve the <br />Park Facility Permit application for Lino Lakes Park & Rec, first/second grace <br />soccer practice on Tuesdays, August 23 through October 11 from 6:00 to <br />7:00pm. All in Favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> <br />VII. UPDATES/OTHER <br /> <br /> <br />1. Council Updates – Council Member Steve King <br /> <br />Council Member King informed the committee members that the council has <br />been discussing options to replace the reader sign in front of city hall. There was <br />committee discussion to recycle the current sign, if it is replaced, and to place it <br />at a location to be determined per Council Member King’s recommendation. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Committee Member Amundsen, seconded by <br />Committee Member Seeley to support Council Member King’s <br />recommendation to recycle the existing sign if a replacement is purchased. <br />All in Favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />2. Playground Ladder Replacement in Acorn Creek Park <br />Mr. Palzer informed the committee that the playground ladder has been ordered, <br />but has not yet arrived.
