City of Centerville
Council Meeting Minutes
April 12, 2006
City Administrator Larson explained that Public Works has asked Council to hire
Arcade Asphalt for repairs identified as 1 and 2 for $4,620.

Council Member Lee suggested moving this road up in the schedule for
reconstruction.

Council discussed the condition of the road and agreed that some work is needed
to eliminate the hazard.

Council Member Lee indicated that he thinks that this would be throwing money
into a hole.

Mayor Capra indicated she would like to do a mill and overlay for Sections 1 and
2 and have a patch done at Section 5.

Council Member Paar indicated this seems like a bit of a waste but a larger
project would be costly so patches need to be done to make things safer while
waiting until this is reconstructed.

City Administrator Larson said that the City’s Staff could do it this spring and
again next year but this proposal would probably give you more than one season.

Motion by Council Member Terway, seconded by Council Member Paar, to
approve the street repairs as proposed by Staff. All in favor. Motion carried
unanimously.

Mayor Capra asked that City staff work on section 5.

8. CDBG Appeal Letter

Mayor Capra indicated that the HRA Committee has stated that they are not
recommending $250,000 to Centerville as it was reallocated to other projects and
Centerville has 30 days for an appeal. She then said that she would like Staff to
gather information and send in an appeal to ask for the $250,000.

Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Terway, to

authorize Staff to send a letter of appeal to the HRA Committee concerning
the CDBG funds. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously.

IX. OLD BUSINESS

1. Consideration of Legal/Prosecution Services

Mayor Capra indicated that Council discussed changing legal service to grant
municipal legal services to Burstein and Glaser.
