This vendor has over fifteen years of <br />experience working with Historical Societies and museums, and extensive experience working with <br />archival projects to include working with Minnesota Museum of American Art, Minnesota Historical <br />Society, Afton Historical Society, among many other organizations (Please see attached resume and <br />letter of intent for qualifications). To acquire good and services, the City and vendor will purchase <br />necessary items at a discount using their AASLH membership, and for other items using the lowest cost <br />provider. <br />Provide estimates for the following. If none, enter "0". <br />Estimate the number of project hours worked by newly hired staff to be paid for with grant funds <br />Enter number: 0 <br />Estimate the number of project hours worked by existing part-time staff to be paid for with grant funds. <br />Enter number: 0 <br />Estimate the number of vendors/ consultants/ contractors who will work on the project (non staff). <br />Enter number: 40 <br />Enduring Value: <br />In order for the City of Centerville to have a publicly available historical display, this grant is the first <br />step in that process. First, the City needs to know exactly what it has in their possession, which the <br />inventory and catalog process will accomplish. By creating a physical and digital record of artifacts and <br />antiques under the City's ownership, the City will be able to plan out current and future displays. The <br />research conducted in the scope of this project, and potential future projects, will be publicly available <br />and accessible for future research projects by other organizations. <br />Sustainability: <br />Following the completion of the grant the City will be able to update and maintain its collection and <br />database as needed. Existing City staff and funding will be sufficient to update the digital and physical <br />database accordingly. The contractor on this grant will advise City Staff on future inventorying and <br />cataloging that will need to be completed, which the City will pay for out of their own resources. The <br />City will also retain ownership of the laptop and other supplies paid for by the grant in order to <br />maintain physical and digital records. The artifacts will be stored in museum quality archival boxes and <br />in a climate controlled environment, ensuring the future integrity of the items. The grant will provide <br />39 <br />
